Our Top Tips

To shop:

The Natural shop, gives you environmentally friendly fashion, and Richmond books you want it, they’ve got it.

To drink:

A short drive takes you to Reeth, which has three in a row very traditional dales pubs good pint of Theakstons, a locally brewed beer served in all.

To eat:

The White Heifer at Scorton, a very traditional pub, with a surprise behind the doors, and of course the Black Bull at Moulton, has been a favourite restaurant of locals for years.

To walk:

Richmond falls along the swale, stunning, to see any time of the year, and a little further down river Easby Abbey, no need to drive leave the hotel and they are on the doorstep.

To visit:

Richmond castle, Green Howards museum, Richmond museum, all within the town and a short walk from the hotel.

To relax:

Enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by al fresco at The Kings Head, or a picnic by the river.

To watch:

Georgian Theatre Royal, all year round performances are held both professional and amateur. The newly opened station cinema has top features showing every evening.

To take the kids:

Forbidden Corner at Leyburn, a mysterious adventure, and another favourite, spending theday by the river climbing on the rocks, paddling, and a game of football.
